Many states, including Virginia and Maryland, require new construction houses to come with a warranty that protects the buyer against structural defects and poor construction practices.

Virginia buyers, unless the builder specifically sold the house “As-Is”, are entitled to a twelve month warranty whereas Maryland buyers have a more extensive warranty. For most properties, we recommend having a warranty inspection performed after eleven months of living in your new home. More often than not, we are able to find deficiencies that would be covered by the warranty. We provide a full report including multiple pictures that is delivered shortly after the inspection, giving you the resources and documentation to have the builder make any necessary repairs. Hiring Excel Inspections to perform a warranty inspection is a great way to protect your investment and can save thousands in repairs down the road! This service is identical to a normal home inspection which consists of a full top to bottom inspection. The only difference is this inspection is not during a real estate transaction.
