Sewer Clean-Out Identification Guide

Thank you for choosing HomeKey Inspections for your sewer scope (drain pipe camera inspection) needs! In order for us to perform a sewer scope, we need to make sure the inspector will have access to the sewer lateral pipe via a sewer clean-out. Although clean-outs have been required on all houses for a long time, they are often hidden/drywalled over inside the house or buried under dirt/mulch/grass in the yard. In addition, the sewer clean-out must be PVC(white) or ABS(black) plastic as older cast-iron clean-out caps are rusted shut and almost impossible to open without breaking the pipe. Please view the below common locations and example pictures to determine if your house has an acceptable sewer clean-out and let us know as soon as possible.
